Journal of Medical Resident Research

About the Journal

The Journal of Medical Resident Research (JMRR) is a quarterly scientific journal officially published by the Regional Council of Medicine of the State of São Paulo (Cremesp), both in English and Portuguese. Its main objective is to disseminate medical-scientific knowledge, especially among doctors in training and in residency programs.

Thus, it offers an opportunity for physicians who are beginning their academic careers to publish their first scientific manuscripts, reaching international audiences, something that often seems distant for those who are in this stage of training.

About Cremesp

The Regional Council of Medicine of the State of São Paulo (Cremesp) is a federal agency created in 1957. It acts on behalf of society by supervising the ethical standards of the medical profession, through regulations, legal and disciplinary actions, licensure and registration of physicians, inspections of healthcare facilities and health promotion policies.

Among the duties of Cremesp, established by Law 3.268 of 1957, which instituted the Medical Councils in Brazil, are: "to promote, by all means at its disposal, the perfect technical and moral practice of medicine and the prestige and good image of medicine, of the profession and those who practice it.” The fostering of Science is essential for the pursuit of these ends and, aware of this, Cremesp seeks, with JMRR, to allow more doctors to publish their scientific works and feel stimulated to produce new medical knowledge.

The headquarters of Cremesp is located at Rua Frei Caneca, 1282 - Consolação - Consolação - São Paulo / SP
